Przemysław Hruszka, the manager of the Office of the Association presented information on promotion activity of the Association on 26 May 2008.
I. The following brochures were compiled and printed:
1. Plastics as a safe and durable material.
2. Thermoplastic sewage wells. Frequently asked questions.
3. Thermoplastic sewage pipes. Frequently asked questions.
4. Ten steps to a well made installation.
II. The PRiK’s standpoint on circumferential rigidity of thermoplastic sewage pipes was published (for a fee) in three specialist magazines. Ten articles were published or submitted to editorial offices, in most cases these were reports presented at the conference in Bielsko Biała.
III. At the fair Wod-Kan, an area of 9 square metres was rented for an information stand. A conference room was rented for a conference organized by PRiK, PE100+ and PVC4Pipes. Organizers of the fair Wod-Kan did not ensure a proper marking of the way leading to the conference room located on the second floor of Łuczniczka Hall. It brought about that a minimal number of participants took part in the conference.
During the discussion the problem of purposefulness of organizing a conference during a fair was raised. Current experiences show that potential participants of a conference come mainly to see an exhibition and they have no time for participation in a conference.
IV. The Association co-organized the 70-year anniversary conference of the Katowice Branch of the Polish Association of Sanitary Engineers and Technicians in Katowice, and five representatives of PRiK took active part in the conference (reports).
V. The new web page www.prik was made and launched and current updating was being done.
