On 27 May 2008 in the Conference Room Łuczniczka in Bydgoszcz the conference took place organized by the Association PRiK together with PVC4Pipes and PE100+ Association. The conference regarded plastic pipes.

You are invited to participate in a scientific and technical conference entitled: "Sanitary Engineering in Building Industry and in Infrastructure", which is co-organised by the Association.

A technical conference on "Plastic water mains. New solutions made of polypropylene and polyethylene" was held in Bielsko - Biała on the 6th and 7th of December 2007.
The conference was organized jointly by Borealis - one of the leading manufacturers of polyolefin plastics, the Polish Association of Plastic Pipes and Fittings Producers (PRiK), bringing together main manufacturers of plastic pipes and fittings as well as the Economic Chamber "Polish Waterworks" - an organization of economic self-government in water and sewerage sector. The conference was held under the patronage of the Building Research Institute and the Institute for Plastics Processing from Toruń.
The conference aimed at exchanging opinions between plastic pipes producers and waterworks - the main users. Among 140 participants were representatives of waterworks, plastic pipes producers, designers and representatives of universities and institutes. The conference was opened by Maciej Trojnarski, the president of PRiK.
The papers presented during the conference aimed at getting acquainted with methods of designing, construction, standards and current regulations regarding water and sewerage systems made of plastics.
Among others, a representative of TEPPFA, the European Plastic Pipes and Fittings Association, representatives of plastic pipes producers, associated in PRiK and speakers from Borealis were amid the invited to present papers.
In the course of two days of session, many subjects connected with plastic water mains were brought up. Gathered guests had the opportunity to know advantages of plastic sewerage systems in comparison with systems made of traditional materials. New kinds of PP and PE were reviewed. A representative of waterworks AQUA SA from Bielsko-Biała shared his experiences on the use of concrete and plastic sewerage systems. An essential part of the conference ended with a discussion of directives of the Economic Chamber "Polish Waterworks" in the light of the presented papers.
Apart from active participation in the debate, invited guests had the opportunity to take part in a highlander feast. Some of them also partook in a tour of the brewery in Żywiec.
